Our mission is to provide support, resources, and safe spaces for the Latino LGBTQ+ community in Las Vegas.

We are committed to empowering individuals through education, access to healthcare, HIV awareness, and community-driven programs that reduce stigma and improve quality of life.

Founder & Executive Director

I am the Founder and Executive Director of Libre Pride Plus – Latino LGBTQ Community Center of Las Vegas, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and empowering the Latino LGBTQ+ community in Southern Nevada.

As a Latino immigrant, I have firsthand experience with the challenges many individuals face when accessing reliable information, healthcare services, and safe spaces where they feel supported and understood. This lived experience has been a key motivation behind the creation of Libre Pride Plus—an initiative focused on building a stronger, more informed, and connected community.

At Libre Pride Plus, we work to:

• Reduce stigma related to HIV

• Connect individuals with health and wellness resources

• Create safe, culturally inclusive spaces

• Provide education, guidance, and support for LGBTQ+ immigrants

• Promote prevention, access to treatment, and overall well-being

Our goal is to develop a community center where individuals can find education, support, resources, and a true sense of belonging—especially those facing cultural, linguistic, or economic barriers.

In addition to my community work, I am also the Founder of Portela Travel Group, a travel agency focused on creating unique and accessible travel experiences. As part of our social commitment, a portion of the company’s revenue is reinvested into supporting the programs and growth of Libre Pride Plus, strengthening our impact within the community.

I strongly believe in purpose-driven entrepreneurship, where businesses can also serve as tools for meaningful social change.

Libre Pride Plus is currently in a growth phase, focused on developing community programs, expanding HIV education, increasing access to health resources, and creating safe spaces for the Latino LGBTQ+ community in Las Vegas. We are also actively building strategic partnerships and engaging skilled volunteers to expand our reach and impact.
